My Summer Beauty Queen

Against the cold, gloomy, rainy summer weather, I've stamped once more a colorful card. 
Background acryl block technique, like the post below, I used my old shadow stamps from Hero Arts.

Happy warm and sunny summer..not in germany, but selfmade

Because we do not have the warm and sunny summer like it looks out, I have to make him just
as a colored map. Glossy card with acryl block technique and colors from Kaleidacolor inkpads.

Weil wir nicht den warmen sonnigen Sommer haben wie es ausschaut, machen wir ihn eben selber.

Art journal inspired by Pam Carriker

I saw that  video of the talented Pam Carriker and so I want try that technique. Only I've not taken a print but rather a transparent paper.
 Please look the photos of the progress below. I worked like that video shows, but my lady doesn't look to one side . step by step:
I copy the outlines of the face, then turn that transparent around and painted the outlines over with black pastell or chacoral.
Then turned the transparent again around and rubb that painted lines on a journal page. Then reformed that new face with chacoral and pastell and smuged gently. Finally I cut it out and glued a collage page with different papers which I once got from Heidi as a birthday present.

Als ich das video der talentierten Pam Carriker gesehen hatte, wollte ich die Technik unbedingt ausprobieren. Gesagt- getan. Nur habe ich ein Magazinfoto genommen und statt Druckerpapier Transparentpapier genommen.
Ich habe genau wie auf dem Video gearbeitet, allerdings den Blick der Lady nicht wie auf dem Foto in die Ecke schweifen lassen.  
Ihr seht die step by step Fotos:
Ich kopierte die Umrisse des Gesichtes, (Foto 2 und 3 auf weisses Papier gelegt), drehte dann das Transparent um und habe diese Umrisse mit Kohle geschwärzt (man kann auch
schwarze Kreide nehmen) (Fotos 3a) Danach hab ich das Transparent wieder umgedreht und die geschwärzten Linien auf die Journal page durchgerieben ( Foto 4) und danach weiter ausgearbeitet (Foto 5) und abweichend vom Video koloriert, (Foto 6) ausgeschnitten und für die Collage mit den verschiedenen Papieren verwendet.

Fantasy Nothern Light - (Altered Foto)

I altered the sky by decoloring with nail remover and recoloring with different pigment inks and embossing powders,
so my fantasy nothern lights look also a little bit like a shower of confetti.

Kisses, hearts, love are important for warming our life.

Glossy card colored with Color box chalk inkpads. Girl and dog are cut out, legs and letters are stamped,
frame and dog hat are doodled.

I've recieved a beautiful lavender wand give away from Patty!

I was really delighted when my name was pulled. It's a lilac lavender wand. 
We all can need magic wands, isn't it true?

I enjoy showing you Pattys present on her blog. Even the whole envelope smells so nice when I opened.

Faux Frottage Technique Art Journal Page in progress

I worked with Frottage Technique, but I did it just the opposite. I decolored the photo page with nail remover, wiping with cotton pads. 
So arose the light background patterns on surface from the patterns which placed under. The first pattern was paper towel, see photo below.Then I dabbed new colors on and stamped with black and brown Memories. Finally I glued the stamped butterfly on.

I habe mit der Frottage Technik gearbeitet, aber auf die gegenteilige Art. Ich habe die untergelegten Muster, zuerst gemustertes Küchenkrepp) oben auf der FotoSeite mit Nagellackentferner und Wattepads gewischt und so sind die aufgehellten Muster entstanden. Dann habe ich neue Farben aufgetupft mit Pigment ink und mit schwarz und braun (Memories inkpad) bestempelt. Zuletzt hab ich den gestempelten Schmetti aufgeklebt.
